Kim Dean

Owner & Director

Kim has been in the grooming industry for over 27 years, she first started out working in a poodle parlour in the south of England and over the next 11 years expanded and operated a grooming and clipping service, as well as working at a small animal hospital in Perth as an accredited groomer.

She has won many awards as well as competing locally and nationally with winnings and placings.

In October 2002 Kim was presented with an Australian Micro Business Award – the Western Australian winner in the Animals category.

In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Kim has competed in the Perth Royal Show and has earned winnings and placings in various categories.


Leeane Swaine

Shop Manager/Senior Groomer

Leeane was originally studying Vet Nursing when she discovered Dog Grooming and changed paths. She is passionate about animal rights and has over 10 years’ experience with an Advanced Certificate in dog grooming (City and Guilds approved).

She competes regularly in competitions with winnings and placings in both Australia and Europe.


Pui Lockhart

Advanced Groomer

Pui came to us 4 years ago from Thailand and has advanced in her grooming skills immensely. She is often found out the back clipping/grooming and has improved with helping wash & dry the different dogs when needed. As well as grooming the dogs she is also a great cook and often cooks beautiful Thai cuisine for the girls at the shop.

 


Katie-Marie Bradney

Dog Washer

Katie is our second dog washer and has been with WA Dog Grooming for 2 ½ years.

She was originally taking a pre-apprenticeship for hairdressing however decided to complete school in order to gain more experience. In 2013 she chose to do work experience with WA Dog Grooming and gained a job through that. Katie has always had a passion for animals and says working with them is a part of her.

Aside from washing dogs she also does groom-outs on large breeds and sometimes helps with reception.


Adrianna Baci

Groomer’s Assistant

Adrianna recently discovered her passion for animals when she completed her Cert. II in Animal Studies at TAFE in 2015 and was required to do work placement, where she chose to go to Posh Pooch (our sister salon), and after completing TAFE she was offered a full – time position to become a dog washer.

After working there for 3 months she transferred to WA Dog Grooming. Now nearly 3 years on and she is working with Kim on completing her Certificate 3 in Pet Grooming and works in the salon as a Groomer’s Assistant where she pre-clips the dogs and helps with washing and drying them. You will also sometimes find her helping in between on the counter with reception duties if necessary.
